Teaches the basics of Automated External Defibrillation, including the rationale for early defibrillation and the role of CPR in cardiac arrest situations. Includes information about precautions to take when using an AED, what defibrillation is, how it works and troubleshooting for special situations. Includes Adult CPR and basic precautions for preventing disease transmission. (4.5 HRS)

Includes Adult CPR, basic precautions for preventing disease transmission and emergency care for conscious choking, bleeding, splinting and other first aid emergencies. Teaches the basics of Automated External Defibrillation and includes information about precautions to take when using an AED, what defibrillation is, how it works and troubleshooting for special situations. Meets OSHA requirements for First Aid. (7 HRS)
Teaches persons with a duty to respond, the skills needed to appropriately care for breathing and cardiac emergencies for infants, children and adults. Learn automated external defibrillation, 2-person CPR, the use of a Bag Valve Mask and Pocket Mask. (8.5 HRS) - Starting January 1,2009, the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Health Care Provider is a 2 year certificate
